Fyfe is expanding into Western Australia with the purchase of Perth-based structural and civil engineering firm Robert Elks and Associates.
The purchase means Fyfe, which is headquartered in Adelaide, will now have offices in WA, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Fyfe Managing Director Mark Dayman said the acquisition was a strategic step in Fyfe establishing itself as a national firm.
“Robert Elks and Associates (REA) has specific structural engineering expertise, including specialist transportation and heavy lift experience, which will enable Fyfe to add significantly to the service menu it can offer existing and potential clients across Australia,” he said.
“At the same time, REA’s existing clients will now have access to Fyfe’s specialist pipeline and mechanical engineering expertise which we believe will enable us to substantially grow the business in WA.”
Mr Dayman said REA will retain its current offices at Applecross and all its employees had been offered continuing employment with Fyfe.
