2013 APIA Convention and Exhibition

This year, the event will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 12-15 October and will provide approximately 800 local and international industry professionals with information about projects and international issues, address technical, environmental, safety and economic challenges and look at new innovations and trends within the industry.

With a theme of The Pipeline Industry – Critical Infrastructure for the National Economy, particular focus will be paid to the transmission pipeline sector and the need to develop skills in the next generation in order to optimise future opportunities.

Other topics the extensive conference program will cover include:

  • Gas market challenges and developments;
  • Safety and environmental issues;
  • Offshore opportunities;
  • Pipeline operation considerations;
  • Coal seam gas industry updates; and,
  • Much more.

The Exhibition has sold out once again. With more than 90 companies showcasing their products and services, this is a great opportunity for attendees to have their questions answered directly and, in some instances, receive live product demonstrations from suppliers.

APIA has organised a number of social activities over the three days, which include dinner on the oval of the AAMI Stadium – home of the Adelaide and Port Adelaide football clubs and an outing in the Sanctuary at the Adelaide Zoo. A complete itinerary is organised for partners and includes a day trip to the neighbouring wine region McLaren Vale and high tea at the Botanic Gardens.

The Annual APIA Convention and Exhibition is a long-standing and highly regarded event on the national energy and infrastructure calendar and is one that should not be missed.
