Mr Morgan joined McConnell Dowell in 2006 as the environmental management representative on the Burdekin to Moranbah Pipeline and is currently the Construction Interface Manager for the Northern Network Alliance.
He has also been instrumental in developing and leading the review into APIA’s Code of Environmental Practice for Onshore Pipelines and has represented APIA on the Australian Standards Committee covering Trees on Construction Sites.
“Dan has been an outstanding and energetic supporter of APIA activities over recent years and he is one of the people who represent the next generation of our industry,” APIA President Ashley Kellett said when presenting the award.
“On top of his work with McConnell Dowell, Dan has thrown himself into a whole-of-industry approach and he is an active member of the Queensland Young Pipeliner Forum committee. He is very much a vocal advocate for the industry and the Association and he has spoken at a number of APIA forums, both formal and informal, including the May 2009 APIA Safety and Environment seminar in Brisbane.
