Gas for the power station had previously been sourced from the Coonarah Gas Field within PPL 3, but the plant will now be supplied by ESG’s Narrabri CSG Project via the new pipeline.

The 250 mm diameter pipeline was constructed from screw-jointed fibreglass for medium pressure raw-gas transfer.

The Wilga Park Power Station is being upgraded in preparation for the ramp-up in gas production expected as the multi-lateral production pilots come online. The first stage of the upgrade is now complete.
