Established in 1984, Warren King & Co (WKC) has been involved in over 11,000 km of pipeline projects nationwide. Combined, Warren and his staff have over 80 years of experience in the industry. Using that wealth of knowledge and experience, WKC employ the latest land/engineering surveying, data collecting and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology to provide customers with an efficient, accurate and complete service.

WKC has a team of surveyors, draftspersons, and GIS operators who all have extensive pipeline experience and a network of business associations, and are able to get a team of professionals together to handle any sized project.

Employing the latest technology, a team of skilled surveyors work from pipeline inception to pipeline construction and post construction work, ensuring the quality of the data collected and processed, and guaranteeing the task at hand is clear-cut, uncomplicated and stress free.

As the surveying and GIS teams collect data, each project is set up in the unique GIS package, Pipeline Manager, which is designed for pipeline work and the management of pipeline information. This information is distributed and used to assist with selecting the best pipeline route for clients and associated parties. The WKC team continues to maintain that data to ensure that clients have accurate, up to date information at hand when needed. Systems in place mean that clients can have data updated remotely each day, take up-to-date data into the field when needed and keep confidential data secure.

After initial route selection, detailed survey work is carried out over the proposed pipeline route for design purposes. Using Viaduct™ this data is quickly reduced, incorporated into the GIS and customised according to each client’s need.

As projects develop into construction phase, the company’s team again uses its extensive pipeline experience to survey as-built data. Relaying this information back to the office after each day’s work, the information is quickly reduced and again incorporated into systems and distributed to clients as needed.

Amongst WKC’s current systems and applications are some that are only distributed by this highly skilled team within Australia. Working together, the company brings all aspects of pipeline projects under the one roof to provide a full and ongoing service.

WKC’s client list includes many of the major pipeline companies in Australia. Some recent projects include the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline Looping and Mt Gibson Mining Slurry, Gas, Return Water and Borewater Pipelines. Other major projects during the last few years include SEAGas, BassGas, Kambalda to Esperance, and Telfer Pipelines and many more smaller projects.

These projects, as with all WKC projects, have been handled by a highly skilled professional team ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

WKC is able to offer a complete package for a project from inception through to completion. This includes initial planning and mapping, route selection, all land matters, cadastral surveys, engineering surveys, construction surveys and as-built surveys, as well as all GIS and alignment sheets and compilation of as-built data.

There is no job too remote, too big or too small for WKC to handle. The company’s team works within a client’s constraints and deliver the services and information required through all stages of a project and long after the pipeline has been built.
