The session began with most mentors arriving early and eager to commence. After an introduction by the WA YPF team and a few words of wisdom from Matthew O’Connell, General Manager Nacap Australia regarding some of his mentoring experiences, the dating began!

Each session (date) lasted 4–5 minutes and gave the mentee an opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with an experienced person from the industry, to soak in as much knowledge as they could, and hopefully build longer lasting relationships.

Feedback from both the mentors and mentees was very positive, saying that they enjoyed the experience and the mentees in particular said they gained a lot from the experience. It was also great to see the discussions and relationships continue to build as the attendees moved through to the APIA WA Chapter Christmas Lunch.

The YPF committee and the young pipeliners would like to express thanks to the mentors for offering their valuable time to help with this event.
