Installation of the 84 km, 1.9 m diameter water transfer pipeline for the Victorian Desalination Plant, located near Wonthaggi in Victoria, has been completed.
The pipeline will transport water from the desalination plant at Wonthaggi to Melbourne, connecting into the existing network at Berwick. The water will then enter the Melbourne water supply system through the Cardinia reservoir.

The pipeline was constructed by Nacap, and will be capable of transporting water quantities of 200 GL/a.
