Sentanil System’s dual-component system consists of a construction management system (CMS) and facilities management system (FMS), which use alignment sheet generation, field data capture and AS2885 safety management studies – utilised during the route selection and design aspects of the project – to provide asset owners with an easy way of managing and accessing project data.

How it works

Once a project reaches the construction phase, pipe data is imported into the CMS. The data is progressively checked for completeness and for its status in the transport chain, with the final data delivered to the right-of-way.

Facilities data – including isometric drawings and an associated bill of materials – is imported into the FMS. Spool components are barcoded to enable tracking from the shop floor to the delivery of the spool to the field.

The CMS and FMS then provide the necessary quality audits and checks to enable compliance with the appropriate quality standards, such as AS2885. This involves activities such as bending, tacking, pipe offcuts, welding, weld margin coating, non-destructive testing, painting and lowering-in.

All software modules are utilised to compile the final as-built data sets for the pipeline operator, which include as-built alignment sheets and isometrics, construction photos, Dial Before You Dig alignments, AS2885 data, geographic information system data import – including pipeline routes, pipe and weld location and integrity data – and land, environment and cultural datasets.
