Boddingtons’ range of tapes include underground warning tapes, Wavelay traceable tape, cable protection covers and tape tile. The company also manufactures extruded barrier fencing mesh and barricade tapes for cordoning off construction works, civil engineering projects and worksites. These products give pipeline owners the peace of mind that their assets are safe from third-party damage.
Many bespoke plastic meshes and tapes can be manufactured to order for a variety of applications.
This year Boddingtons released two new pipe protection products in the European and Australian markets – the Protectamesh MaxiGrid and Protectamesh HD.
Protectamesh MaxiGrid
Protectamesh MaxiGrid is a premium-quality, high-strength, thick extruded plastic mesh to protect underground cables and pipes from damage due to unauthorised and unplanned excavations.
The heavy-duty mesh is installed in the trench halfway between the pipe or cable and the surface to provide a high-impact resistance barrier against future mechanical or hand excavations.
Manufactured from high-density polyethylene plastic, the mesh is extremely durable and is supplied in roll form. MaxiGrid is bright yellow, ensuring clear visibility, and with high-impact resistance properties the mesh will protect the cable or pipe from harm by rogue excavators.
Protectamesh HD
Protectamesh HD is a heavy-duty flexible three-dimensional bi-planar extruded diamond-structured plastic mesh. It offers a consistent thickness throughout the width of each roll or pad to provide full-width protection to your pipeline during backfill operations.
Protectamesh HD also offers protection from abrasive objects after installation, prohibiting geologic movements from damaging your pipeline, and may be installed in pad or roll form, depending on pipe diameter.
