Starting out in Brisbane, PPI Corporation – a 100 per cent Australian-owned private company – has earned an enviable reputation for quality and service. The company operates additional factories in Adelaide and Perth and has sales and warehouse facilities in all states.

The resources boom has created huge growth opportunities for PPI with their large bore PE pipe capability recently increasing from 160 mm up to 800 mm. To meet the ever-increasing demands of the industry, PPI has installed several new PE extrusion machines in their Brisbane plant as well as their Adelaide plant, where capacity will soon reach up to 500 mm pipe.

Previously, PPI’s main focus was with fluid transfer PE pipes over a wide range of markets, however about two years ago, PPI entered the CSG pipeline market and has since supplied PE pipes to numerous projects throughout Queensland and NSW.

Last year, PPI successfully tendered to Queensland Gas Company for a project near Chinchilla which called for 30 km of PE pipes for the recovery of CSG together with the associated water removal. Successful completion of the initial contract has led to orders for a further 200 km of PE pipe being placed with PPI.

Earlier this year PPI again tendered successfully to Delco Australia, for supply of the PE pipe requirements for their contracts with Arrow Energy at their Moranbah and Dalby sites in Queensland.

In NSW, the PPI sales team has also won supply of CSG PE pipes to companies such as AGL in the Camden area.

PPI’s success over the years has largely been due to their ability to form strategic alliances with customers in all market segments and manufacture quality product to meet tight project installation deadlines through excellent customer service.
