The 2010 APIA Convention once again teed off with its annual golf tournament, held at the Palmerston Golf and Country Club in Darwin.
Sponsored by Vermeer, the APIA Golf Day gave pipeliners the opportunity to hone their putting skills while catching up with Convention delegates before the Welcoming Dinner.
The game was arranged as a four-ball Ambrose tournament, encouraging some friendly competition between teams.
Awards were presented for longest drive, nearest to pin, and overall tournament winners. Congratulations go to:
David Barkla for men’s longest drive;
Jan Webb for women’s longest drive;
Thomas Blakie for men’s nearest to pin; and,
Dominic Allen, Thomas Blakie, Paul Tschappeller and Tim Thompson for the overall win.

For those who braved the Darwin heat, the Golf Day was once again a highlight of the APIA Convention.
