Mr Nayfe will be reporting to Pipelines General Manager (GM) and McConnell Dowell Director Mark Twycross. His primary responsibility will be to ensure operational excellence in the execution of the organisation’s pipeline projects.

Mr Twycross said Mr Nayfe’s appointment to this position was in recognition of his extensive pipeline experience and project delivery capability gained in Africa, the Gulf and central Asia.

“Chakib has had a positive influence on the business since joining as Operations Manager – Pipelines, five years ago and I am delighted to make this appointment,” said Mr Twycross.

Mr Nayfe has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. He previously worked with Consolidated Contracting Company from October 1991 to December 2006 before joining McConnell Dowell in January 2007.
