A proposed 5 km tieback pipeline could connect the Fury-1 discovery well to the producing Mirage Oil Field, located in the Cooper Basin, South Australia, Monitor Energy has said.
The tieback is one option being considered for early development of the field in PEL 115, which is a joint venture between Monitor Energy, Victoria Petroleum (VicPet) and Lion Petroleum.
The joint venture plans to test the Fury-1 well. However, this test has been delayed due to extensive flooding in central Australia, which has affected access roads.
VicPet recently suspended operations at the Snatcher, Growler and Mirage oil fields due to the recent heavy rains.
