Using its wheel-making know-how, Richmond has designed and manufactured a multi-purpose adjustable low-profile pipe roller for use in the installation of gas lines and pipe launching projects.

The economical combination of the large-diameter heavy-duty polyurethane rollers, transportable base and 25 mm increment adjustability allows for a multiple of installations, as well as being totally reusable.

Taking an average time of five minutes per frame, adjusting of the rollers is done in three simple steps:

  1. Loosen the bolts that hold the roller frames to the base frame;
  2. Slide the frame sideways till the arrow on the base plate aligns with the reference number that refers to the nominal bore size of the pipe you wish to launch; and,
  3. Tighten the bolts to secure the frame to the base. The rollers are now secured in the correct position to safely launch the required pipe diameter.

Both 4,000 kg and 10,000 kg pipe rollers are available to suit pipe diameters from:

  • 203–508 mm;
  • 203–1,016 mm; and,
  • 203–2,235 mm.
