Epic Energy has awarded Nacap Australia the pipeline construction contract for the South West Queensland Pipeline (SWQP) Expansion – dubbed QSN3.
The scope of the project incorporates the looping construction of the approximately 18 inch, 940 km gas pipeline to run from Wallumbilla in South East Queensland to Moomba in South Australia.
The contract is dependent on Epic obtaining financial close. Nacap expects to finalise plans and begin facilities construction from March 2010 and pipeline installation from mid-2010.
Nacap previously constructed the QSN Link for Epic, an 182 km, 400 mm diameter extension of Epic’s SWQP.
