Innovations to coincide with invitations to young pipeliners
The Australian Pipeliner — April 2008
The Brisbane seminar on 22 May will provide a new opportunity for APIA members, and the secretariat will be calling for members who are interested in making a presentation on new innovations or challenges for the industry.
As pipeliners meet at the various APIA functions around the nation, there is always discussion about new ideas – or new issues – and the May seminar will be an opportunity for that information to be shared widely.
At the same time, the Young Pipeliners’ Forum will hold another ‘introductory’ seminar for APIA’s younger members, highlighting the range of careers and opportunities across the broad APIA membership. At the inaugural Forum in 2006, this was the most popular section, giving the younger members a genuine insight into the different sectors and companies in APIA, with presenters covering project management, economics, environment, design, construction and safety.
After these separate morning sessions, the groups will come together for lunch and an afternoon which promises to be entertaining and informative, with topics ranging from knowledge transfer to the future of the nation’s pipeline industry.
Don’t miss it! And also don’t miss your opportunity to bring members’ attention to new innovations and challenges. See you in Brisbane in May!
