Boddingtons supplies a large range of plastic based products for use in pipeline and general safety applications. Boddingtons is the supplier of leading brands like WAVELAY® detectable underground warning tapes, DETECTAMESH® detectable underground warning mesh, SUPERSTRONG® and MAXITAPE® warning tape, and EUROMESH® barrier mesh.

For the pipeline industry Boddingtons manufacture and distribute plastic underground warning tapes and meshes for all pipeline applications. These products are available in detectable and non-detectable forms and are manufactured from rot resistant virgin polyethylene and polypropylene plastics. The detectable tapes and meshes have a stainless steel tracer wire embedded within the plastic product to ensure long life, strength and optimum detectability.

Boddingtons WAVELAY detectable warning tape was exclusively used for the Nextgen and Amcom optic fibre projects. Over 12,500 km of WAVELAY detectable underground warning tape was supplied for these two projects in 3 km drums delivered to remote parts of Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. Boddingtons has also supplied a number of smaller optic fibre and communication cable projects this year for companies such as Telstra and Visionstream.

Major pipeline owners and contractors who use Boddingtons products in Australia include Origin Energy, Energex, Agility, Santos, Optus, Nacap Thiess, McConnell Dowell, Leightons and Clough Lucas.

The Boddingtons parent company in the UK is a privately owned business which was established in 1975. Since setting up its business in Australia in 1997, Boddingtons has developed a reputation for providing excellent quality products and prompt and reliable delivery to customers. Boddingtons Australia has achieved ISO9001: 2000 quality accreditation and distributes its products throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia. ROCKSHIELD is wrapped around underground pipes as protection of the coating systems on the pipe when they are buried underground. Pipe and Cable Protection Mesh is buried above the underground pipeline or cable to provide added protection and is manufactured in highly visible colours such as yellow and orange. Boddingtons also supply solid plastic cable covers and tape tile for underground pipe and cable protection.

All of these products are now available and will be displayed at Boddingtons exhibit stand at the APIA Convention in Adelaide.
