Momentum Engineering provides engineering consulting and project management services to the energy and resource sector and recently provided detailed engineering and design support to the APA Group for recent upgrades on the Goldfields Gas Pipeline.

The upgrade project involved the construction of two new gas compressor stations at Wyloo West and Ned’s Creek, which were completed earlier this year. Both were greenfield projects involving installation of gas compression and ancillary equipment including filtration, aftercoolers and site power generation. Onsite, workshop and accommodation facilities were also installed. Both compressor stations have been successfully commissioned.

Momentum Engineering assisted with process, mechanical, piping, civil and structural engineering and design works. The company also supported APA in evaluation, procurement and inspection of major equipment for both sites.

The company said that the Goldfields Gas Pipeline project, coupled with continuing work on new and existing offshore facilities, have ensured that Momentum’s success has continued through 2009.
