FutureGAS is Australia's only whole-of-industry gas event, bringing major players from exploration and production through to end users of gas together under one banner. FutureGAS has an emphasis on the future growth of the gas industry and unconventional opportunities, and celebrates and promotes innovation within the industry for greater production outcomes and a smaller environmental footprint. The 2011 conference saw over 500 industry leaders, including delegates, trade visitors and exhibitors, and 2012 will build on this further.

Other transmission professionals speaking at the conference include Jayne Arthur from APA Group, Bob Teale from Teale Pipe Welding Solutions (USA), and John Fleming from Gas Advisory Services. Richard Blagrove from Jemena will also be co-presenting a presentation with Zoltan De Rhede of Georg Fischer.

The overall conference and exhibition will feature over 40 presentations, six networking events – including the Gala Dinner, Engineers at the Exhibition Drinks, Opening Cocktails, Women in Gas Breakfast and the Foreign Trade Business Lunch to be hosted by Federal Shadow Minister for Energy and Resources Ian MacFarlane – and 50 exhibitors, including a number of leading pipeline companies.

For the first time, the 2012 FutureGAS Conference and Exhibition will feature the FutureGAS Awards sponsored by Jemena. The Awards seek to celebrate achievements in the areas of innovation, skills development and personal achievement, and will be presented at the Gala Dinner, which is sponsored by CNC Project Management.
