Industry members – including managers, chief executive officers, suppliers, commercial agents and technicians of all trades within the gas industry – will descend upon the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27–29 March 2012 for the FutureGAS Conference and Exhibition.

Conference

Delegates will be able to select from two conference sessions streams, and will hear from industry experts on the following topics:

    Commercial:

  • Coal seam gas projects;
  • Outlook/forecast supply and demand/LNG;
  • Shale/tight gas;
  • New projects: distribution, transmission, generation;
  • Innovative/new uses for gas;
  • Co-generation/tri-generation; and
  • Project updates.

  • Facilities, process, measurement and metering;
  • Generation;
  • Corrosion, maintenance and managing ageing infrastructure;
  • CSG;
  • Unconventional gas, and bio and synthetic gas;
  • LNG; and,
  • New technologies for Australia, including gas-to-liquids, fuel cells, storage, CO2 optimisation/abatement.

Exhibition

An increased exhibition space in 2012 will showcase even more of the latest products and technologies than in previous years. The exhibition will allow delegates to speak face-to-face with company representatives, and the addition of networking lounges in the Exhibition Hall will provide the perfect place for those all-important business meetings.

Social events

The social events for FutureGAS 2012 will include the Opening Cocktail event, the Gala Dinner and the Engineers at the Exhibition Drinks. This year, the Women in Energy: Gas Networking Breakfast will also be held in the Exhibition Hall to welcome women of the industry for a networking breakfast. These social events allow delegates to network while enjoying delicious food, refreshing drinks and a great social atmosphere in a relaxed, entertaining setting.
