The gas industry will gather in Brisbane for the FutureGAS 2010 Conference & Exhibition, to be held from 9–11 March 2010.

FutureGAS brings together all sectors of the natural gas industry – from exploration, production, distribution, transmission, compression and appliances – to help build on the rapid growth of natural gas within the nation.

A recent Australian Bureau of Statistics report, entitled Energy Account, Australia highlights the considerable interest generated in Australia regarding the supply of natural gas. Natural gas supply for the period 2006–07, was measured at 2,007 PJ, an increase of 44 per cent from 2001–02 levels.

Exports of natural gas in the form of LNG doubled from 413 PJ in 2001–02, to 827 PJ in 2006–07.
