Enerflex provides natural gas compression and process equipment, hydrocarbon production and processing facilities and a comprehensive package of field maintenance and construction contracting capabilities. On the Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) Expansion, Enerflex provided facilities work at four sites along the 113 km looped section of pipeline. As well as the construction and tie-in of the new scraper station facilities, the company’s works included the installation and tie-in of the cathodic protection system, station earthing, pipe insulation and below ground tie in of the looped piping to the existing pipeline.
Procurement and offsite fabrication preceded the site civil works and construction of scraper traps, scraper station pipework and valving. Site construction commenced in September 2009 and concluded in December 2009.
The Enerflex project team worked closely with Jemena during the project to minimise interface delays, tie-in interruptions and additional scope work to deliver the facility in time for commissioning.
An Enerflex spokesperson said “This successful project highlighted the benefits gained from a strong relationship built over years of positive client/contractor collaboration.”
