The main body and design of the ELiTE 12 & 16TE electrical vacuum pipe lifters are similar to the ELiTE 12 & 16 TD diesel versions. This means that the main bodies can be manufactured up to the point of becoming what is internally called an ‘intermediate body stage’, giving customers rapid delivery of vacuum pipe lifters for short notice projects.

Intermediate bodies can now be stocked and called upon when being realised into either a diesel or electrical version. This reduces the manufacturing time considerably and reassures a rapid global delivery service for customers and distributors alike.

The ELiTE TE vacuum pipe lifter is electrically powered by the customer’s main power supply – 380 V, 420 V, 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

The model enjoys all the additional special features of the diesel driven option for construction applications. The electrical ELiTE TE model can be supplied as either safe working load units of 12,000 kg or 16,000 kg units and both can be delivered with a central single or two outer double hook eyes for tower/gantry crane applications.

The main power is extracted from the customer’s main power source and transported to the ELiTE TE via a spring loaded industrial cable drum mounted on the main body. The power is transported to an electrical motor which in turn drives a vacuum pump.

This model is also available with radio remote control or hard wired cable remote, both of which can be operated from the ground floor or cabin positions.

In the event of a facility major power failure or power tripping, the ELiTE 12TE has sufficient warning power to operate for an additional 8–12 hours. This is allowed via a carefully selected and pretested accumulator power pack. The power pack is loaded prior or during normal lifting operations, and is activated automatically in the event of mains power failure occurring.

Schoenbeck vacuum products include:

  • All required warning sirens/warning flash lights;
  • Incorporated safety valves;
  • -40°C solenoid for extreme cold working environments; and,
  • Pre-start-of-work safe system checks.

The vacuum lifters satisfy requirements for European standards, ASME B30.20-22, the Australian standards AS4991 and AS4024, and the AS/NZS4268.

In addition, standard Schoenbeck ‘variable suction pads’ will fit onto all standard and new models. If a current diesel self-contained version of the Schoenbeck is owned, the suction pads for the electrical version will also be suitable.
