Cervan Marine have a wide range of plant that they employ to get the job done including: Airtrack Drill Rig, ROC 712 Drill Rig, 4 x Atlas Copco 812 Drill Rigs with Montabert Excavator Mounted Drill Rig and Diamond Core Drilling also available. In addition, a 10 tonne crane, scissor barge, 30 tonne excavator, Mac Primer Mover, Float, 800 tonne Flat Top Barge and specialised labour are available for hire.

In 2003 Cervan Marine undertook what they describe as one of the most challenging projects to date – Drill and Blast for 20,000 metres of pipeline trench on the SEA Gas Pipeline project.

What made their assignment particularly challenging was the requirement to perform the task within two metres of pipeline that had already been welded. The proximity of the pipe left no room for even the slightest error but Cervan Marine proved they were up to the task - coming through with flying colours.

Darren “YT” White said that the key to the success on the SEA Gas Pipeline project was careful preparation and utilisation of the years of experience Cervan Marine has gathered in projects around the country.

“It’s one thing to say you can do it, but a completely different thing to get out in the field and make it happen,” he said.

Most recently Cervan Marine has been involved closer to home on the Port Hedland – Telfer Pipeline working with McConnell Dowell.
