So after many years of dissatisfaction and many unsuccessful attempts to get new ideas implemented from other camp providers Frank, and his son Gino decided to start manufacturing and supplying their own.
APC is now the leading pipeliner camp supplier in Australia.
APC is the only Australian company with over 38 years of uninterrupted services to the mining, construction and pipeline industry, and is able to provide complete camp infrastructure, plant-equipment hire and other logistic services on a single turn key package.
Not only designing and manufacturing camp buildings, APC also builds and manufactures water purification systems, sewerage and waste treatment plant, water pressurising and filtration systems.

APC is quickly expanding into other areas also, with the company now able to offer offshore accommodation infrastructure for sea based operations.
Another new development is the introduction of multi-storey accommodation buildings designed to reduce the size of the camp footprint and overall infrastructure requirement.
It is a source of pride for Frank, Gino and their team that APC can provide for small, highly mobile operations as well as larger, longer term operations. In all cases, APC is able to shift camps in a very short period of time – often within a day – and have them up and running with a minimum of fuss.
The company holds an Australian industry record for complete camp installation in less than a week for camps that accommodate up to 400 people. Recently, APC completed a 950 km camp move on the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) in just eight days.
In early March, APC took delivery of two new Caterpillar Challenger 585 Track Machines equipped with air systems for safe load towing. These two units form part of APC Hire Division’s expansion program, aimed at providing specialised new types of equipment with high safety performances for new pipeline projects around Australia.
One of Frank’s special interests is effluent, and APC’s patented effluent “A” system allows clients to meet all stringent EPA laws and requirements when working in sensitive areas. This system saves considerable money for prospective clients, and also saves a most precious environmental commodity at the same time.
APC have developed many other patents and features for their highly livable portable camps, and it is for this reason that they have remained popular around Australia for so long.
With the newest and largest generator fleet of any camp providers, from small size to large silenced power stations, APC is able to provide full and complete power generation. APC monitors each camp’s power consumption requirements, considering both peak and off-peak demands and by utilising seamless generator integration minimises the size of plant required. APC can provide power to their sites by connecting to the main grid network or supplying suitably sized generator packs, with backups.
The company has made a commitment to the environment through all stages of development right through to the demobilisation of all camps. They do not leave any items buried in the ground, like poles or cables.
APC has supplied camps to many projects around Australia, including camps to the Moomba to Sydney pipeline in New South Wales, the Port Hedland to Telfer pipeline in Western Australia, the North Queensland Gas Pipeline and the SEA Gas pipeline in Victoria and South Australia, as well as the DBNGP expansion.
From APC’s base office and factory in Monarto, South Australia, Frank, Gino and the team have defied the odds and broken ground in the construction and pipeline scene throughout Australia.
