The contract involves the coating of over 700 km of pipe. The contract is predominately for the internal epoxy coatings that ensure good flow-rate for piped gas.
The contract is expected to commence in Q4 2011 and be completed by 2012.
The APLNG project is a joint venture between Origin and ConocoPhillips, and includes a plan to develop a four-train coal seam gas (CSG) to LNG project.
It will involve a 450 km gas transmission pipeline for the transport of dehydrated and compressed CSG from the Surat Basin and Bowen Basin to a proposed LNG processing site located at Laird Point on Curtis Island, Gladstone.
