The term “camps” probably fails to do justice to the accommodation the team from APC can put together. Aside from verandas, the camps also feature outside seating areas to relax and socialise in after a hard day on-site, sheltered walkways, and plants around the perimeter of each cabin.
APC Chief Frank Martino said the camps, with their ease and speed of assembly have proved popular for site managers on a range of projects nationwide. Recently APC has expanded into new industries such as mining following its success in the pipeline industry.
Highlighting the addition of verandas, Gino Martino said, “A block of 30 rooms can have verandas installed by three men in three hours – that’s quick and improves conditions at the camps for workers.
“On those hot and rainy nights we can get in remote outback Australia, the verandas allow your staff to get some fresh air without getting completely drenched as they may have done in the past!”

The verandah system and its installation are unique to APC. Frank and Gino say they are proud of the constant development of their camp systems and that they work to come up with new developments at all times.
APC have developed many patents and features for their highly livable portable camps, and it is for this reason that they have remained popular around Australia for so long. Current APC sites around the country include Hamilton and Balmoral, where Roche have set up camps, and West Wyalong, where Cowel Gold has a camp established. This is in addition to their recent success in providing accommodation to the North Queensland Gas Pipeline project.
