Accommodation for 350 people is being used in a five camp spread for the DBNGP. With each camp having full infrastructure and being moved at least every three weeks, this has been a challenge and a testament to the logistical skills and knowledge of the APC crew.

APC’s service has also consisted of a full-time maintenance person for each camp as well as a generator serviceman and operations co-ordinator for the whole job.

Along with the huge scale of this project and the distances travelled between each camp, the APC crew is also faced with live camp moves – having to move camps and infrastructure along the line while the personnel are still living there.

None of these goals have been unobtainable because of the honest and strong working relationship APC have with the client.

After moving from Aldinga (60 km south of Adelaide) to its new custom built premises at Monarto (just off the Princes Highway) the family-based company has moved ahead in leaps and bounds.

Currently with two 80 m x 30 m sheds for its engineering and production department, and another two sheds being fabricated at the moment, as well as a comfortable temporary office block built with APC dongas – the new premises are still a work in progress, and surviving solely on generators while waiting for the power to be connected.

However, the move has provided APC with the capacity for greater expansion into areas of engineering and production not previously able to be provided. This move, together with the company’s commitment to continued research and development, will see a production capacity exceeding what was previously obtainable as well as new innovations such as small footprint multi-story accommodation and off-shore accommodation platforms as well as a number of other engineering and production services.

APC has found the new factory and all the space it provides has attributed greatly to the amount of new work the company is now able to take on.
