Adelaide Dinner gives members food for thought

Pipeliners who attended the APIA Dinner in Adelaide were educated on the importance of adopting more sustainable engineering design and project delivery practices.

The dinner was held on 12 August 2010 at the Adelaide Hilton. WorleyParsons Global Director for Sustainability and EcoNomics Professor Paul Hardisty spoke about how modifications to business practice can result in a positive impact on the environment.

Professor Hardisty has over 20 years’ environmental experience with some of his specialities including environmental and economic analysis, environmental impact, and risk analysis and management.

The dinner was opened by APIA Chief Executive Cheryl Cartwright; followed by brief addresses from sponsors of the dinner, WDS Limited General Manager – Technical & Support Brent Jones, and Maloney Field Services Director Jamahl Waddington.

Once again, APIA members relished the opportunity to reconnect with others at the dinner, and enjoyed the informative presentatition.
