Since developing the first pipeline Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) in 1960, 3M™ has been a leader in pipeline corrosion protection. 3M’s experience and innovative technologies have resulted in a complete line of premium quality coatings under the 3M™ Scotchkote™ brand, including: FBEs, liquid coatings (epoxies, urethanes, polyureas) and other specialist coatings.
The Scotchkote range is specifically designed to meet the needs of the pipeline industry:
- external/internal pipe coatings, field joint coatings, patch repair materials and rehabilitation coatings for onshore/offshore pipelines
- coatings for steel structures, pumps, tanks and fittings
- intumescent fire protection coatings for structural steelwork and timber substrates
3M has coatings which provide enhanced properties for high temperature operation, application at low temperatures, mechanical damage protection and compression, abrasion and cavitation resistance.
